Mach Industries Selected by U.S. Army for PrSM Increment 4 Prototype Development
PR Newswire
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., Oct. 8, 2026
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Mach Industries, a defense manufacturer developing advanced autonomous systems for the U.S. military and its allies, today announced its selection by the U.S. Army to develop a prototype for the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) Increment 4 program.

Mach Industries is one of five companies awarded an Other Transaction Authority agreement to develop prototype systems capable of launching from HIMARS and engaging moving maritime and relocatable land targets at ranges greater than 1,000 kilometers. The competitive program will advance through prototype development and flight testing beginning in fiscal year 2027.
The award builds on Mach Industries’ development of Pike™, its long-range strike platform designed to deliver affordable precision effects at production scale. Pike uses a rocket-assisted launch before transitioning to sustained jet flight, with a range of up to 1,000 miles.
“America needs long-range strike weapons that can be built in numbers and fielded fast,” said Ethan Thornton, Founder and CEO of Mach Industries. “We design, build and test our propulsion, energetics and airframes in-house, so we can move from prototype to production on the Army’s timeline. We are proud to compete alongside the country’s most established weapons manufacturers.”
Pike was designed with manufacturability and iteration as primary design objectives, bringing together Mach Industries’ capabilities in aircraft, jet propulsion, solid rocket motors, energetics and manufacturing. The platform is designed for distributed operations without reliance on runways.
