Latitude Raises $35M Series A to Connect Stablecoin Payments to Local Rails Worldwide

Latitude, a global payments infrastructure company simplifying cross-border money movement, today announced a $35 million Series A led by Oak HC/FT, with participation from NEA, Coinbase Ventures, Lightspeed Faction, OpenFX and Wilson Sonsini. The round follows Latitude’s $8 million seed earlier this year and brings total funding to $43 million.

Stablecoins Solved Speed. Getting In and Out Is Still Broken.

Stablecoins are the fastest way to move money in the world. The hard part has never been sending them; it’s getting in and out via on-and-off ramps.

Wallets and stablecoins are becoming part of everyday life, but they’re still too hard for a normal person to use. Money has to land in the currency someone spends, on the payment method they already have, whether that’s Pix in Brazil, UPI in India, or mobile money in Kenya. Outside the US, these ramps mostly don’t exist. Where they do, they’re slow and expensive.

Latitude gives businesses one simple way to move between local currency and stablecoins in every market they operate in. A neobank can expand into a new country by turning on a compliant ramp instead of building one. A contractor in São Paulo or Lagos can get paid in seconds, in their own currency, without losing a meaningful chunk to fees. Latitude owns the licenses and takes on the compliance and regulatory work, so customers can just build.

“Moving money should be as simple as sending a message,” said Cyril Mathew, co-founder and CEO of Latitude. “You shouldn’t need to understand stablecoins to use them. We built Latitude so a business can move money in and out of any market and have it just work. The hard part should be your product, not the plumbing underneath it.”

Licensed. Connected. Global.

Latitude connects stablecoins directly to hyper-local payment rails, giving businesses a single regulated layer to move between stablecoins and local currencies worldwide.

  • Licensed: Owning the licenses is what makes onboarding simple and fast. Latitude is licensed or approved to operate in 45 US markets and is actively pursuing licenses internationally.

  • Connected: Latitude’s network of liquidity partners and venues in every market routes each transfer to the best available price. Fewer hops, tighter spreads, no hidden costs.

  • Global: Latitude is building the broadest coverage of local currency ramps in the world, all behind a single API. Onboard once, reach every market.

“The real challenge is building the infrastructure for stablecoins that connects a global technology to the financial systems people and businesses rely on every day,” said Oivind Lorentzen, Partner at Oak HC/FT. “Latitude has taken on that hard work from the beginning, building the regulatory foundation and local connectivity required to operate at scale. We believe they have the potential to become a foundational part of how money moves around the world.”

Latitude is building the broadest on- and off-ramp network in stablecoins, live everywhere a business needs to be, from day one. The businesses that win globally won’t be the fastest in any one country. They’ll be the ones already built for every country from day one.

“Latitude makes international payments remarkably simple and fast: we initiate the payment, and it is received in a local Philippines account within minutes,” said David Morgan, Partner and Head of Accounting at Velo CFO. “Payments clear on time and our company benefits from less fees; our team is thrilled.”

Latitude was founded by Cyril Mathew, Brian Wrightson, and Vivek Morzaria, payments and financial infrastructure veterans who previously held leadership roles at Stripe, Coinbase, Meta, Uber, and Zero Hash. Together, they bring decades of experience navigating the challenges of moving money across markets and building the systems that power global commerce.
