Sellers can now add raised 3D puff stitching to hoodies, tees and caps — mixing flat and 3D in one design, with 1.5mm or 3.0mm foam and up to 15 thread colors.
SHENZHEN, GUANGDONG, CHINA, August 25, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — PODpartner, the vertically integrated print-on-demand manufacturer serving apparel sellers across major e-commerce platforms, today announced the launch of 3D puff embroidery across its full range of self-made heavyweight apparel and headwear. Sellers can now add raised, dimensional stitching to hoodies, sweatshirts, and tees as well as baseball caps, snapbacks, and mesh caps — and combine flat and 3D puff within a single design.
3D puff embroidery uses a foam underlay beneath satin stitches to lift a design off the fabric, creating the bold, structured look long associated with premium streetwear and retail brands. With PODpartner, sellers choose between 1.5mm and 3.0mm foam thickness and can blend flat detail with raised puff in the same piece — keeping fine text crisp while lifting logos and lettering for impact.
The technique is particularly suited to streetwear and logo-driven brands, where a raised chest logo or puffed cap front reads as retail-grade at a glance. Because flat and 3D can live in one design, a brand can lift its wordmark in 3.0mm puff while keeping a fine-line tagline or secondary graphic flat and legible — a combination that previously forced sellers to choose one technique or split a design across separate production runs.
“Sellers have had to compromise for too long — puff limited to hats, flat and raised stitching treated as either/or,” said a spokesperson from PODpartner. “Because we own our factory end to end, we can offer 3D puff on garments and caps alike, mix flat and 3D in one design, and hold that quality consistent from the first unit to the five-hundredth.”
The new capability supports up to 15 thread colors per design and includes DST file support, letting sellers reuse production-ready embroidery files. A 3D surcharge of $0.98 per frame applies to any design using the technique.
Because PODpartner operates its own cut-and-sew and embroidery facilities rather than routing orders through a third-party network, 3D puff ships with the company’s standard terms: no order minimums, no membership fees, and 48-hour production on the majority of orders.
3D puff embroidery is available today across PODpartner’s apparel and headwear catalog. Existing sellers can apply it from the design editor by selecting 3D puff and setting foam thickness; new sellers can connect a Shopify, Etsy, Wix, WooCommerce, or Squarespace store and start designing at [PODpartner-3D-puff-embroidery].
About PODpartner
Founded in 2019, PODpartner is a vertically integrated print-on-demand manufacturer serving over 4,000 international clothing brands. Unlike platforms that route orders through third-party print networks, PODpartner owns its entire production chain in-house — from yarn and cut-and-sew to printing, embroidery, and quality control. This factory-direct model gives sellers tighter quality consistency, faster turnaround, and decoration capabilities most POD platforms can’t offer, including 3D puff embroidery, Jumbo DTG, HTV, and a Hybrid Process that combines DTG, HTV, and embroidery on a single garment.
