Six-generation family dairy brings premium butter, culinary heritage and fan-focused experiences to WFC2026
INDIANAPOLIS, IN, UNITED STATES, October 5, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The World Food Championships (WFC), the global leader in Food Sport, today announced that Minerva Dairy will serve as the Official Butter of the World Food Championships, bringing its premium butter and six generations of family dairy-making heritage to WFC2026 in Indianapolis.
As the Official Butter of WFC2026, Minerva Dairy will provide butter for use across competition and culinary programming throughout the four-day championship, giving WFC competitors access to a product designed to perform across a wide range of culinary applications and categories.
Founded in 1894, Minerva Dairy is recognized as America’s oldest family-owned creamery and has spent six generations refining its butter-making craft. The family-owned company produces slow-churned butter made with milk from pasture-raised cows, with its signature butter containing 85% butterfat for a rich, creamy texture and flavor.
“Butter is one of those ingredients that can show up almost anywhere in Food Sport, and Minerva Dairy brings an incredible combination of heritage, quality and culinary performance to our competitors,” said Mike McCloud, Founder and CEO of the World Food Championships. “We love partnerships that allow a product to become part of the competition itself, and Minerva will be there from the opening rounds through the final plates. Their involvement also gives us some great opportunities to bring the brand directly to our fans through sampling, demonstrations and some of the fun, interactive experiences that make WFC unique.”
Minerva Dairy will also bring its brand to life throughout the event through consumer sampling and interactive experiences in Indianapolis, including a collaboration with The Jelly Queens. The partnership will take center stage during the fan-favorite Biscuits & Jampionship, taking place Saturday, October 17, in Kitchen Arena, where Minerva Dairy will have an active role in the celebration of one of WFC’s most approachable experiences.
The partnership will also feature a special cooking demonstration with two-time World Food Champion Preston Nguyen and his mother, Emma Nguyen, a past Fire Woman Challenge champion. The mother-and-son culinary team will showcase Minerva Dairy in action while sharing their perspective and experience as competitors who have experienced the intensity of Food Sport firsthand.
“WFC is the perfect place to demonstrate what great butter can do because you have some of the most talented culinary professionals in the country – and the world – putting ingredients to the test,” said Venae Watts, 5th Generation family member. “We’re excited to bring Minerva Dairy to Indianapolis, connect with competitors and fans, and be part of the incredible energy surrounding WFC2026. From the competition kitchen to Biscuits & Jampionship and our demonstration with Preston and Emma, we’re looking forward to showing people why our family has been making butter for generations.”
The Minerva Dairy partnership will extend across WFC2026, giving competitors in all ten championship categories an opportunity to incorporate the Official Butter into their dishes as they compete for World Category Championships and a share of the event’s more than $400,000 prize purse.
WFC2026 takes place October 15-18 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center in Indianapolis, bringing together culinary professionals from around the world for four days of championship competition, food, entertainment and Food Sport festival experiences.
